My name is Megan and I am 28 years old.
I have always been interested in the beauty industry and managed to secure a job as a Counter Manager at Feel Unique in 2016 where my passion and love for beauty really increased.
I started working on a skincare brand called Keihls as a Counter Manager. I absolutely loved this position and it was a great way to get my foot in the door of the industry. I travelled to the UK for several meetings and had a week long face-to-face training course, all about the products and how to apply them which I LOVED! I was so nervous at first as I hadn’t ever travelled before, let alone on my own. (Funny story- I actually passed out on the Gatwick express due to nerves and had to be driven around London Victoria on one of those little cars that beep. Any dignity I had left after being carried off the train through passing out- was officially gone at that point 😅)
After a year working on Keihls I really lacked the makeup application aspect of the brand and wanted to delve deeper into the world of makeup artistry. I was so lucky to be given the chance to work for Estée Lauder as a Counter Manager at Feel Unique and I will forever be grateful for that opportunity.
I went away again for training courses and I did SO many Makeovers on local people. I absolutely loved this!
In 2018, I fell pregnant for my first baby, Freya. I absolutely loved my job however part time hours wasn’t really something offered back then in the industry, so I left and began working in an office (I am still working for the company now but from home) and I also work at the airport doing Administration, also Part Time.
In 2023 I had my second daughter, Alua. That was when I really knew I wanted to go back into the industry and began refreshing some of my courses I had done along with adding some more qualifications to offer my clients.
I have spent so long learning new things, getting the Salon ready and now this website ready to view.
I am so proud of myself (which I never say!!) for working 2 Part time jobs, being a mother to my daughters and then add setting up and running a business to that list 😅
I am so excited to welcome you into my little salon.
I may not have the most experience on the island or the biggest salon with the best products that money can buy, but I can assure you that I have put my absolute everything into this, to ensure that I give my clients the best possible treatment with a relaxing setting and I will be so grateful for you to choose me as your beauty therapist 🥰
